WCG wishes to regularly recognize and share stories of our very own “hometown heroes.”Advisor Ramona Maior,CFP® is one of our WCG Veterans and like all of our military families, has experiences to share. As part of Ramona’s service, she was deployed in the Arabian Gulf in support of the rebuilding of Iraq and the maintenance of regional stability.  As a postal clerk on board a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, she earned a Navy achievement medal for assisting in the transport of incoming and outgoing mail via helicopter and plane. She helped the postal team process of 5 million pounds of mail and 7 million pounds of cargo: “Everyone always waits for their care packages, and being able to give them their long awaited boxes is a great joy.”  This is a big contribution considering the conflicting range of emotions our service members experience while deployed at sea. We are so proud of what Ramona accomplished, and we are grateful to have her diverse experience and viewpoint on our team.
